The founder of the company, Ali Öztürk, has 30 years of experience dedicated to sailing and sail manufacturing, he is a prominent figure in the industry as a sailmaker since 1994. Starting his career at Yenel Yelken, Ali took his expertise to the next level by establishing his own sail manufacturing company in 2003. Between 2008 and 2023, he expanded his international expertise by serving as the Turkish distributor for a Denmark-based company, one of Europe’s leading sail manufacturers.

Ali Öztürk honed his technical knowledge and craftsmanship in sail production all over Europe, making ETERNA Sails mark in prestigious international competitions such as the Copa del Rey, ORC World Championship, and events sponsored by Rolex. A passionate sailor, Öztürk has competed in classes such as Laser, Dragon, and J70. He continues to pursue his passion for sailing through active racing with his boats, a Grand Soleil 37 and a J70 class.
